Vasilisa the Beautiful - Character design
I recently discovered the Russian tales of Baba Jaga and I fell in love with the characters and their nature, often good and bad at the same time. I took the opportunity to do a quick character design exercise and try some new digital coloring techniques.
I drew the protagonist of the Russian fairy tale "Vasilisa the Beautiful".
I think that Vasilisa is both a good and bad character, she is a kind girl but at the end of the story she has a magical skull with which she incinerates her family ... so she is also pretty evil. For this, I used triangular shapes and a creepy stick, but using colors not too disturbing
